On November 6 , 2000 we drilled two borings (13-2 and B-3) to a depth of 90 Feet Bgs and 100
Feet Bgs. This was reported on our report dated December 14, 2000.
On November 17 , 2003, we submitted a Amended Site Concept Model .
On July 20, 2005 , we drilled one boring and two monitoring well (B-4 , MW- 14 and MW-16) to a
depth of 158 feet bgs for the borings and 50 feet bgs for the two monitoring wells .
This was reported in the drilling report dated August 24, 2005.
Introduction
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has requested a work plan
addressing verification of the CPT results of Boring 4 drilled on July 20, 2005 .
WORK PROPOSAL
One well (MW-15) will be place on the south side of Charter Way and west of Grant Street; on site
near boring B-4. MW- 15 will be drilled to a depth of 160 feet and will be screened from 150 to
160 feet bgs.
The drilling will be performed with a hollow stem auger by Spectrum . The well will be drilled to a
depth of 160 feet below the surface (bgs) . Soil samples will be taken every 5 feet during the
drilling and analyzed with a OVA meter. Soil and water samples from 40, 70, 85, 120, 145 and
156 Ft. will be sent to Argon Laboratories for testing as outlined in the Laboratory testing section of
this work plan . If any soil samples test positive during the OVA testing they will also be sent for
analyses .
The well will be completed by placing 0. 02 slotted casing in the bottom 20 feet of the well and
blank casing from 30 feet to the surface. Number 3 sand will be placed opposite the slotted casing
and 5 feet above it. A transitional seal will be placed from 25 to 22 feet which will consist of
hydrated bentonite. From 148 feet to the surface the casing annulus will be filled with hydrated
cement. Above the well a traffic box will be placed and the well will be capped with a locking cap
and lock.
LABORATORY TESTING
The following tests will be performed on the soil and groundwater samples by Argon Laboratories.
The samples will be placed on ice in a cooler until they are delivered to the laboratory.
Soil Testing
EPA 8260 for MtBE, TAME, ETBE, DIPE and TBA 0. 5 and 5 mg/Kg
BTEX and TPH-g EPA 8020 and 8015 0. 5 and 50 mg/Kg
Water Testing
EPA 8260 for TAME , ETBE, DIPE, TBA, 12-DCA AND EDB 0.5 and 5 u /L
EPA 602 and 8015 for BTEX and TPH-g 0. 5 and 50 u /L
