Wilson, Stockton
Removal/Replacement of Existing Double-wall Fiberglass Piping
Ladies and Gentlemen:
On Tuesday, February 2, 1999, Scott Co. of California met with San Joaquin County Environmental
Health for a primary pipe inspection as part of a double-wall fiberglass pipe extension/dispenser
containment project. Due to additional repairs on the secondary system, it was decided that day by
San Joaquin County Environmental Health that the remaining portion of the station receive new double-
wall fiberglass pipe.
On Thursday, February 41 Scott Co. of California was advised by San Joaquin County Environmental
Health that a new permit procedure was required to remove the existing piping and to replace the new
section.
In order to prevent further delays, we are submitting the necessary pipe removal and new pipe
installation permit packets together. We hope Scott Co. of California can proceed based on the
familiarity with the project scope and since it already is double-walled with no anticipated underground
problems.
Our plan as discussed is to remove and sample the piping on Monday, February 8, 1999 at 8:30 AM
and hopefully initiate pipe layout on Tuesday, February 9, 1999.
The new double-wall pipe installation will follow the identical path of the pre-existing with one exception.
The product pipe will be installed in a direct path toward the islands. This will shorten the pipe run by
approximately 40 feet.
New As-Builts are being prepared to depict all pipe layouts and any minor changes. These will be
completed and expressed mailed to you by Wednesday, February 10, 1999.
We would appreciate your expediency in reviewing and acceptance of these permits. Should you
require any further information, please do not hesitate to call me at (510) 895-2333, extension 385.
e rely yours,
SCO FORNIA
P IF
v onmen I Project Manager
G:/scottco/jobs/tank/Lpf02O59sjoaqu inceh
