(AGE) , on your behalf for the above- <br /> referenced site In the report, AGE presented data collected from operating the dual-phase <br /> extraction ( DPE ) remediation system between 01 January and 27 February 2012 that included <br /> analytical results for groundwater and soil vapor samples collected during this period. AGE <br /> noted that the DPE system was "pulsed off' for the month of March 2012 "to stay within <br /> Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund (USTCF) annual budget constraints." <br /> AGE estimated that approximately 0. 791 pounds of total petroleum hydrocarbon as gasoline <br /> (TPH-g) and 0. 003 pounds of benzene were removed from groundwater between 03 January <br /> and 27 February 2012; and approximately 101 .4 pounds of TPH-g and 4. 5 pounds of benzene <br /> were removed from soil gas between 09 January and 14 February 2012. AGE noted that <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations continue to decline at this site . <br /> AGE has recommended that the DPE system operate °on a month-on, month-off basis' going <br /> forth, and that the reports pertaining to the remediation system be submitted semi-annually <br /> instead of quarterly to reduce costs . <br /> The EHD concurs with the recommendations proposed by AGE to operate the DPE system by <br /> alternating the system on and off each month . Continue this procedure for a period of one year. <br /> At that time, the effects of operating the system every other month should be evaluated. <br /> The EHD also approves the submittal of the remediation report semi-annually instead of <br /> quarterly; however, if conditions in the field change such that the schedule for operating the <br /> DRE system is modified, then submit a report to the EHD immediately notifying this agency of <br /> the changes.
