In the report, we have included the following
recommendations:
1 ) Further reducing the ground water monitoring and sampling schedule as approved by SJCEHD in a
letter dated 08 June 2009 due to a limited Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund (USTCF)
budget allocation for FY2010-11 and focusing the limited funding on remediation . Limited or no
further ground Water monitoring should be performed for the next 12 months aside from required
treatment system monitoring for the discharge permit and to evaluate the system efficiency.
2) Discontinuation of total petroleum hydrocarbon quantified as diesel (TPH-d) analysis for all
monitoring wells.
3) Plumbing groundwater monitoring wells MWA , MW-3 and MW-4 to the DPE system to
provide an eight-well DPE network that can be alternated for maximum efficiency.
4) Pulsing of the remediation system by alternating operation for one-month on and one-
month off beginning with an `off-month' on 01 August 2011 .
5) Submission of remediation reports on a semi-annual basis to reduce costs.
6) Addition of DPE well points. After utilization of groundwater monitoring well MWA , MW-3
and MW-4 for DPE, at least two specifically designed DPE wells should be installed to the shallow
soil and ground water treatment.
We would like to commence recommendations 1 ) through 5) as soon as possible and would appreciate
your comments.
Thank you for your consideration ,
Arthur Deicke
Advanced GeoEnvironmental , Inc.
Stockton ® Santa Rosa ® Monterey % Brea , Spokane • Reno
1 -800-511 -9300
adeicke advgeoenv, corn
8/15/2011
