During purging and sampling, odors were detected, but no
-A petroleum product or sheen was observed on the ground water surface. Water samples
(sample #67551 from MW-1, sample #67562 from MW-2, and sample #67560 from
MW-3) were collected in containers supplied and prepared by California Analytical
c.a
i ,
Laboratories/Enseco in West Sacramento. At the end of the field day, the water samples
were submitted under Chain-Of-Custody to Enseco, a laboratory certified by the State of
California, Department of Health Services for the requested analyses of extractable TPH
by EPA Method 8015M/3510 and purgeable TPH by E1'A Method 8015M/5030; and
y BTEC by EPA Method 602.
t
".s On June 26, 1991, the monitoring wells were re-sampled for laboratory analysis to verify
the February 21, 1991 results. During purging and sampling approximately 1.5 feet of
product was observed floating on the ground water surface in MW-1. No product layer or
sheen was observed while purging and sampling the other wells. Water samples were
collected from MW-2 (#67713) and MW-3 (#67712) and were submitted under Chain-Of-
Custody to California Analytical Laboratory for analysis using the same analytical mQthods.
The Purge Characterization and Sample Logs for both sample rounds are included in
Appendix E. Chain-Of-Custody forms and the laboratory data sheets are provided in
Appendix E.
tr
3.5 MONITORING WELL ELEVATION SUP VEY
ha
Elevations relative to mean sea level and the "x,y" coordinates for the top of each 2-inch
PVC well casings were surveyed by Tom O. Mor,ow, Inc. (California Licensed Land
St,rveyor #5161) on February 19, 1991. The coordinates were tied to City of Stockton
datum on the southeast corner of the site. The map provided by Tom O. Morrow, Inc. is
. included in Appendix F.
The depth to ground water was measured from a set location at the top of each casing on
February 21, 1991, April 9, 1991, and June 26, 1991. The depth to water was then
subtracted from the corresponding casing elevation to provide a ground water surface
elevation at each well The well casing elevations, depth to water measurements, and
calculated ground water surface elevations relative to mean sea Ievel are presented on
'fable 3.
FIS-91-62 6
Copyright 1991 Xleinfelder, Inc.
