Concentrations of
gasoline ranged from, 4,900 to 38,000 ug/l. BTEX compound were detected in. both
samples. The highest concentrations were consistently detected in sample 67713 collected
'{ froin MW 2. Benzene was detected in this sample at 13,000 ug/1 and gasoline at 38,000
l :
ug/l.
- Soil Samples
I
t
t Sample 6751.1 collected from B-10/MW-1 and sample 67521 collected ficm B-11/MW-2
were analyzed for purgeable TIPH as gasoline and BTEX compounds. Both samples were
collected at a depth of 31 feet. The analytical results indicated relatively lmv-
I`I concentrations of several BTEX compounds when compared to the concentration detected
in the ground water. Benzene was detected in B-10 at 11 ug/kg. Xylenes were detected at
21 and 33 ug/kg in B-10 and B-11, respectively. Concentrations of gasoline were not
k detected in either sample.
` 4,3 OFFSITE WELL LOCATION SURVEY
The SJCEHO in letter dated December 18, 1990 requested that a well location survey be
conducted to locate wells within 2,000 feet of the site which potentially may affected by
E the plume of contaminated ground water beneath the Nomellini site. Kleinfelder reviewed
the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) and conducted a ground survey to
. locate wells not listed in the DWR files. Kleinfelder also attempted to review SJCEHD file
k ^' of drilling permit applications, but they were not available for review. Eleven wells were
located either in the agencies records or during the ground survey(Table 5).
Fivy;;it estxc.wells and cme indusirial well are locate(!between 1,600 to 2,OM feet south of-
,..
thy, site Tbxee shallow monitoring wells and one well of unknown.purpose-are loczted
i w t„dr•the si The well locations are summarized on Table 5 and are shown
yrf,s. _
lea-the Intersection of.lshin Street d.Nar ;Dnve a roxtm_a;e :800. tc ,Gl0 fee
pi Tth es •to
'M relative to the site on Plate 7.
F18-91-62 9
Copyright 1991 Kleinfelder, Inc.
is
t::
f
st
