The San Joaquin Local Health
.. District (SJLHD) has requested assessment of the vertical and horizontal extent of
' contamination based on the analytical results of soil samples collected from an open tank-
excavation
ankexcavation at the site.
The collection of samples From radial borings is proposed to assess the presence of
petroleum hydrocarbons contamination in the unsaturated soil, and the installation of
monitoring wells is proposed to provide an initial assessment of tbe ground water. The
SJLHD requires submittal of a work plan prior to issuing a boring permit for drilling or
monitoring well installation.
A copy of this work plan should be sent to the SJLHD and the Regional Water Quality
Control Board for their review and consideration. Once the SJLHD has issued the boring
permit,Kleinfelder will implement the scope of work presented in this plan.
- 148-88-2109 1
