Mr. John Welch • -2- 46 8 November 1995
investigate off-site to the west and to the south, obtain sufficient soil and ground water samples, and
install ground water monitoring wells. It should be written in such a manner that subsequent to the
geoprobe work, there will be no need to submit another work plan to install the monitoring wells. The
work plan shall include a detailed schedule with particular calendar dates to conduct the work and submit
an investigative report. As stated in our 13 September 1995 letter, a fourth quarter ground water
monitoring report is due by 31 December 1995. We will be preparing a draft monitoring and reporting
program for the site and sending it to you for your review in the near future. If an acceptable work plan
is not submitted by the above due date, we will recommend an enforcement order to the Executive
Officer.
If you have any questions, you may call Joel Weiss at (916) 255-3077.
I , Cj4W
WENDY L.
