Collect soil and groundwater samples from 5 cone penetration test (CPT) exploratory'
borings to 100 feet below surface grade to delineate the vertical and lateral extent of the
groundwater plume.
2. Installation of 4 monitoring wells.
3. Analyze grroundwater samples for TPHg,FTEX,MTBA,TBA,and 1,2-DCA by a
Method 8260. Collect soil samples for possible laboratory analyses.
COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Relocate the proposed CPT boring SB-6 to the edge of the southern property line and
closer toward MSV-2. MW-2 currently is th a furthest southern monitoring point at the
site (approximately 15 feet to the edge of the City of Stockton sidewalk). 1,2-DCA and
MTBE have consistently been detected in `U-2. It is necessary to relocate the
proposed SB-6 to the south beyond MW-2-in order to delineate the southern extent of
the groundwater contamination.
2. Decision and selection to submit soil samples for analyses must meet EHD agreement.
3. Implement work by May 21,2004.
REASONS FOR DISAPPROVAL OF THE WO (H&S 25299.37, subd.(C)(3).):
None
DATED April
6 2004 BY
Cc: CRWQCB,Central Valley Region—James L.L.4IB3artonR
Cc: Cambria—Joe Neely
