Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc. <br /> (Cambria) prepared this work plan on behalf of Shell in response to San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services, Environmental Health Division's SJCPHS/EHD) March 20, 2002 letter. The <br /> SJCPHS/EHD letter requests further site assessment including the installation of groundwater <br /> monitoring wells and a well receptor survey. The scope of work presented in this work plan is <br /> written to comply with SJCPHSIEHD and Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) <br /> guidelines. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> Site Description: The subject site is located on the northeast comer of East Charter Way and <br /> Airport Way in a mixed commercial/residential area of Stockton, California (Figure 1). .The <br /> former site layout included two station buildings, fliree fuel underground storage tanks (USTs), <br /> and four dispenser islands (Figure 2). K.E. Curtis onstruction Company, Inc. of Newbury Park, <br /> California demolished the service station during Api it 1999. <br /> Oakland, CA UST Removal: On April 29, 1999 three 10,000-gallon single-wall steel gasoline USTs were <br /> San Ramon, CA <br /> Sonoma, CA removed from the site. The tanks were found to be in good condition with no obvious <br /> indications of failure. Soil samples were collected from the bottom of,the UST excavation and <br /> Cambria beneath the former fuel dispensers and product piping at locations specified by SJCPHS staff <br /> Environmehtal (Figure 2). A total of 14 soil samples were collet ed.
