Using the existing Veeder-Root TLS-
350/EMC platform, probes and Dispenser
Interface Module (DIM) cards, the ISD software
continuously monitors the vapor recovery equip-
ment, maintains test records, provides test
reports, and generates warnings / alarms follow-
ing equipment failures.
The ISD system includes the following nev com-
ponents:
Vapor Flow Meter (Sensor) — One per
dispenser, designed to measure the volume of
vapors collected during vehicle refueling for
vapor collection monitoring
Vapor Pressure Sensor — One per station,
designed to continuously measure contain-
ment tank pressures for leakage and over-
pressure conditions for vapor containment
monitoring
ISD Software Enhancement Module (SEM)
One per TLS, activates ISD software
technology
The ISD system monitors gasoline vapors from the delivery
tanker to the tank of a car to ensure that the vapor recovcry
equipment is operating properly and the air remains dear.
 VEEDER-ROOT
9098643032
ISD can be added to any TLS -350
allowing you to leverage your
investment and centralize rnorti-
toring and recording activities.
• NVMEM 2 Board — (Non -Volatile Memory) One
per TLS, provides memory expansion necessary for ISD
report storage
As of the September 1st, 2005 implementation date, ISD
systems are required for new and rebuild stations in CA
that dispense more then L.8 million gallons / year. The
implementation date for new and rebuild stations dispens-
ing more then 600 million gallons /year is April 2006. For
both throughputs, existing stations must retrofit an ISD
system within four years from the implementation date.
For details as well a$ to view the CARB Executive Order
requiring Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR) and In -Station
Diagnostics (ISD) see the CARB website at
http://www, arb. ca. gov/vapor/eos/co-vr202/eo-vr2O2a.htm.
p.46
tits of the- Vaedtt-Rbaf Y
tr_ RB CeKcf, ied to meet Enna Iced' r2tittir 2li,  ;
t • reduternents ::.
"tft:4eul>xn theta
'Co
prottlettt Ar> hose
x l Yshcn theca tats a^e is lealurig
e~aft t?eatiderl to t a7sr n TLS 3>(i console terl
k :sensors are 4b Le to Shure _wren r
g condwt v+AH other Veedt:sr
k lnterra s co the:existtng S Hart Sensor Ir, er.`ace Madule (gj.l*
;.inpuLC'erSICR) - ,':f ° ...
t
;t Strnple ins allatinn, cprripattble with a)l dispensers, tis
.Lndetwiiters Laburacaries (UL) listed
3 onttiYue aS monit0ritzg of the Vapor =Wv&y system inctuding notification lf!the sysienYs
x pertotmance drops belo,u reclwteri 164-,
+ !lrchlte toe repviU requtd Ioia as3
• Reductrcn tm e i,o , r latecf a fared 191
tttc1i g- gizip hent
r Ire er3ges exisCp?g 35,d a+fptnii}nx
