This procedure may require
variance in the field based upon conditions encountered, e.g. floating
free-phase product,well obstruction etc.
Conditions: The well heads must be accessible and the well bores unobstructed. The
well riser must be marked with a permanent reference point for
consistent measurements. Prior notification of facility personnel and
scheduling may be prudent where warranted. Notification of regulatory
personnel may be required. Vessels for purge water containment must
be provided, typically labeled DOT-17H 55-gallon drums are utilized.
Equipment:
Iced Insulated Cooler Disposable Bailers
Indelible Ink Marker New Polyethylene Rope
Labels Temp./pH/Specific Conductance Meter
Sample Containers Water Level Meter
Field Note Book Purging Pump
Water Level Measuring Forms 5-gallon polyethylene Pails
Well Purging& Sampling Forms Chain-of-Custody forms
Site Health& Safety Plan Watch with Second Hand
Drum Labels Tool Box with Hex-Head Wrench Set
Site Map with Well Locations Decontamination Equipment
HAWPDATA\M[KE\ProceedW H2O.DOC
