HAYES SITE CODE: 2546 <br /> 2005 NAVY DRIVE <br /> STOCKTON CA 95206 <br /> A 12,000 gallon diesel underground storage tank (UST) and a 1,000 gallon <br /> waste oil UST were removed at the above referenced site on March 20, 1987. <br /> Two soil samples were collected from the diesel tank pit at an unknown depth <br /> and one soil sample was collected from the waste oil tank pit at an unknown <br /> depth for laboratory analysis. The analytical results of the soil sample taken from <br /> the south end of the diesel tank pit (sample #1) were 2.9 parts per billion (ppb) of <br /> Toluene and 28 ppb of X ley nes, while the analytical result of the waste oil soil <br /> sample (Sample #3) was 16 ppb of Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB). <br /> As a responsible party, you were notified of your responsibility to assess the site <br /> contamination in a "Notice of Reimbursement" dated July 23, 1996 from this <br /> office, San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD). You were required to submit a workplan to investigate the <br /> extent of contamination by September 15, 1996. A workplan has not been <br /> received by this office to date. <br /> In a telephone conversation on February 24, 1997 PHS/EHD staff reminded you <br /> of your responsibility to assess the site contamination. An application to the <br /> State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Petroleum Underground <br /> Storage Tank Cleanup Fund (Cleanup Fund), a copy of the unauthorized release <br /> report (UAR), and a copy of the UST removal permit were mailed to you on <br /> February 27, 1997. <br /> In a telephone conversation on August 4, 1998 with PHS/EHD staff, you <br /> requested an environmental consultant list and another application to the <br /> Cleanup Fund. Records at the San Joaquin County Assessor's Office indicate <br /> you are still the owner of the above-referenced site. <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
