Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately <br /> cease disposal, make a hazardous waste determination for the metal fines, and manage it according to Title 22 <br /> hazardous waste regulations. Particles 100 microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous waste if the metal is <br /> determined to be a hazardous waste. <br /> Oily absorbent is bagged and thrown away into the trash for disposal.Any person who generates a waste shall <br /> determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately cease disposal, make a hazardous waste determination <br /> for the oily debris, and manage it according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and <br /> supporting documentation explaining how these wastes were managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 113 HSC 25160.2(b)(3) Failed to keep copies of consolidated manifesting receipts for three years. <br /> Copies of used oil hazardous waste disposal records from 3/7/2016-3/7/2019 were not found on site. Hazardous <br /> waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a <br /> consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for review. Immediately <br /> locate a copy of all manifests and receipts for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the <br /> EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> In the central hazardous waste accumulation area,five 55 gallon steel drums containing used oil were observed <br /> missing the accumulation start date. <br /> Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste <br /> stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Since it cannot be determined how long the <br /> hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste <br /> under manifest.
