Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #23 Rodents, Insects or Animals Inside Facility <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Near the restroom the facility contains a decent number of fruit flies that harbor around the employee <br /> lockers and dirty wiping clothes.The kitchen director stated Ecolab comes to service the facility for pest control twice a <br /> month. Continue providing pest control and make changes to reduce the fruit fly population in the discussed area. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Each food facility shall be kept free of vermin:rodents(rats,mice), cockroaches,flies.(114259.1, 114259.4, <br /> 114259.5) <br /> #45 Floors,Walls, Ceilings; Clean and Maintained <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed coving damage to the corner tile upon entering the food preparation area.The ceiling near the <br /> ventilation hood contains a ceiling tile missing. Ensure all flooring and ceiling tiles are repaired or replaced in order to ensure <br /> an enclosed working environment. Correct within 30 days. <br /> Inside of the ware-washing area there is holes in the wall that need to be sealed or plugged in order to ensure an enclosed <br /> ware-washing environment. Correct within 14 days. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:The walls/ceilings shall have durable,smooth,nonabsorbent,light-colored,and washable surfaces. All floor <br /> surfaces, other than the customer service areas, shall be approved, smooth,durable and made of nonabsorbent material that is easily <br /> cleanable.Approved base coving shall be provided in all areas,except customer service areas and where food is stored in original <br /> unopened containers. Food facilities shall be fully enclosed. All food facilities shall be kept clean and in good repair.
