ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMIT I SERVICES
Regarding. ARCO Station 595, 6100 N. Highway 99, Stockton, CA
Revised Plan for Three (3) Tank Annular Upgrade
Gentlemen:
As per our telephone conversation on Wednesday, January 26, 2000, please review our
revised work plan to supplement our permit for the above facility.
As you are aware, we will be installing three (3)water-filled annular reservoirs instead of
just one (1) on the 87-product tank as originally planned. This decision has been made
due to the recommendation from Owens Corning (Containment Solutions); who feel the
systems monitoring capabilities will be unpredictable in maintaining and/or reducing
false alarms without the reservoirs installed.
As a result, we will be opening up the fill end of each tank with a 5'x5' square to allow
access for Owens Corning to install the reservoirs. The work will be done on the
opposite end of the tanks to take advantage of the existing annular sensor in-place.
We have attached a map of the work area and a submittal of the Owens Corning
reservoirs for your review. Once we are completed, we will perform precision tests on
all three (3)tanks.
We would appreciate your attention to this matter, since we would like to proceed with
the concrete removal as Friday, January 28, 2000. Should you have any questions or
require further information, please do not hesitate to call me at(510) 895-2333,
extension 385.
Vel`' Lily yours,
SCOT C F CALIFORNIA
r
L4idnol
Environmen I Project Manager/Estimator poet-IV Fax Note 7671 Onto o s
To a From f
Co./Depl. co
G:sccttcofjobsltanklLpl`V2600 Pnonv* Phone C
V%0 -4 313
Fax Fax x
