Mda
c ; wEISS ASSOCIATES
w
2. FROPOSED GROUND WATER REMEDIATION
As detailed in our report dated 15 October 1987, analytic results for ground water .e;
samples collected from the three ground water monitoring wells at the site were below .the
detection limits of i ppm for TFHC and 0.0005 ppm for benzene, toluene and xylenes
(BTX), As discussed on page 4 of the preceding report, we intend to install an additional
ground water monitoring well, sereened int8 the unsaturated tune, down fiad;':,at of flit
western end of the excavation. After the additional well is developed it will be sampled
along with the prewinusly installed welli, ThS ground water samples will be zn:Llyzed by
EPA Method 8015 for TFHC and by EPA Method 602, gas chromatography with
photoionization detection (GC/FID), for BTX.
All previous and current sampling results will be used to determine whether ground
water remediation will be instituted at the site.
2
