w� <br /> } <br /> WEISS ASSOCL4TES <br /> J.Munoz/ 11 August 1988/Page S r <br /> i <br /> i <br /> 1) Build a ramp into the excavation for earth-moving and drilling equipment; <br /> 2) Prepare the surface of the slab so that the drilling equipment can move about <br /> freely; <br /> 3) Position the drill rig on the concrete slab and drill holes into the southern and <br /> western walls and floor of the present excavation and, collect native soil <br /> samples; <br /> 4) Extract the samples by EPA Method 3550, solvent extraction with sonication, <br /> and analyze the samples by EPA Method 8015 for TPH; f <br /> 5) Determine the extent of hydrocarbons in soil based on the analytic results for <br /> the soil samples; <br /> i <br /> 6) Evaluate alternative remedial options to determine whether continued <br /> excavation is the most effective remedial approach for the remaining soil. <br /> Precision Industries (PI) will build the ramp and prepare the surface of the slab, <br /> under separate contract to Safeway Stores.
