Site Emergency Warning System <br /> Several warning systems may be utilized depending on the work site <br /> conditions or emergency involved: <br /> 1. Verbal communications <br /> 2. Vehicle horns <br /> 3. Portable hand-held compressed gas horns <br /> Verbal instructions with or without assistance are used to. deal with <br /> specific incidents. <br /> Horn signals are used to signify an emergency warning. <br /> One long blast is. used on-site to signify emergency evacuation of <br /> L� <br /> the immediate work area to a predetermined location upwind, where a <br /> head count will be taken and further instructions given.. <br /> Repeated short blasts are used on-site or from off-site to signify <br /> evacuation of all personnel from the site to the hot line where <br /> further instructions will be given after a head count is taken. <br /> B.
