Groundwater Analytical Results
Laboratory analysis shows that hydrocarbons in the groundwater
have moved in a southerly direction. As shown in Figure 2-3,
groundwater collected from borings B-16 and B-19 have elevated
`' concentrations of TPH. Groundwater for Boring B-21, near the edge
of the city property, contained 6.9 mg/kg of diesel. No benzene was
found in any of the HydroPunch samples. Analyses of the
groundwater samples are shown in Table 2-2.
TABLE 2.2
Groundwater Sampling Results
- Boring# Sample# TPH-Diesel Benzene Toluene EthyMenzme Xylenes
(mg/l) (µg/1) (µg/1) (ug/l) (4g11)
B-16 HP-1 150,000 NIA NIA NIA N/A
B-17 HP-2 0.030 <.50 <.50 <.50 <.50
B-18 HP-18 0.970 N.A. Both wells were
completed approximately 15 feet into the saturated zone.
Details of the well construction follow:
• The well screen was four inches in diameter, schedule 40, slotted
PVC. A threaded cap was placed in the bottom of the casing,
• The slot size was 0.010 inches based on formation grain sizes
observed during field examination of the drill cuttings from the
saturated zone;
• The well casing was four inches in diameter, schedule 40 PVC. It
was tightly threaded to the screen below and had a locking cap on
top;
2-4
c
