N.JOAQUIN Environmental Health Department <br /> COUNTY <br /> f, reotness grows Frere Time In: 9:05 am <br /> Time Out: 9:50 am <br /> Food Program Complaint Inspection Report <br /> Name of Facility: EMERGENCY FOOD BANK Date: 07/31/2018 <br /> Address: 7 W SCOTTS AVE, STOCKTON 95203 <br /> Owner/Operator: EMERGENCY FOOD BANK Telephone: (209)464-7369 <br /> Program Element: 1600-FOOD PROGRAM Complaint#: C00047166 <br /> DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br /> COMPLAINANT ALLEGES THEY WERE AT THE FACILITY APPROXIMATELY 1 MONTH AGO AND OBSERVED THEY <br /> WERE GIVING OUT MOLDY FOOD, BROKEN EGGS, PULLING FOOD OUT OF THE TRASH AND GIVING IT TO <br /> PEOPLE, FOOD NOT BEING STORED PROPERLY AND ALLEGES FOOD/SNACKS CONTAINING MARIJUANA IS <br /> BEING HANDED OUT. PLEASE CALL COMPLAINANT WITH FINDINGS. <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br /> 113700.All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br /> FOOD ITEM--LOCATION--TEMP°F--COMMENTS <br /> No Temperature Data Collected <br /> NOTES <br /> Spoke to director and employee. They were not aware of this complaint.They stated that at this time potentially hazardous <br /> foods from walk in cooler is not being given away. Part of the ceiling in the walk in cooler collapsed and unit is out of service. <br /> The bread that is currently given was received 07/27/18. Employee stated that if they see any moldy food during distribution, it <br /> is thrown away. Food with marijuana is not given to people. Most of the food that is given away is not donated to food bank, it <br /> is purchased. Per employee eggs are rarely given away. <br /> Observation:At time of visit the only food that is given was bread, potatoes, canned goods and frozen food. Food is labeled <br /> Did not see moldy food at distribution line.There was food in the walk in cooler(fruit,ect)that was moldy since the unit was <br /> shut off. Employee stated that they are in the process of removing and tossing this food.
