Due to the steady decline in the
water table in this area of San Joaquin County, nearly all the ground water
monitoring wells for this site have gone dry.
Although the vapor extraction system for this site appears to be effectively
removing volatile hydrocarbons from the subsurface, it will still be necessary
to monitor ground water to evaluate the extent of contamination and the
effectiveness of the remedial action. Therefore, we request that you submit a
proposal for monitoring ground water. This proposal should include planned
monitoring well locations for defining the aerial extent of the plume, and for
monitoring hydrocarbon concentrations within the plume.
90 lease the requested o osai to this office and to the San
By 28 September 19 p q P P
Joaquin County Department of Public Health Services.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5731 .
THOMAS D.
