Cherokee Lane I
Lodi , CA 95240
Dear Mr. Hansen:
This letter is our proposal to complete the contamination assessment
at the 4325 Washington Street:, Stockton, Cq site. We recommend drilling
four wells in the next phase ,"ipf characterization.
7
The proposed well locations are shown on the attached map as MW-20P,
MW-21P, MW-22P and MW-23P. These wells wojld be drilled to a depth of 60-
65' . They will be screened o'er a length )f 15' at the appropriate depth
range to allow sampling at the water table year round. Soil samples for
chemical analysis will be coljlected at app ,opriate depths during drilling.
Water samples will be taken after the well are developed. All monitor
well installation will be sup'e' rvised by a alifornia registered geologist.
We plan to continue using the'asame subcont ,actors operating under the same
protocols as in the last phaso of assessmeit.
We understand that Kayo -has obtained permission for sampling
monitoring wells installed by the Marley Co. We have requested Marley's
permission to sample wells MW.L303 and MW-304 immediately.
If groundwater hydrocarbb' n contaminat- on is found to extend beyond the
ring of monitoring to be installed, we suggest moving out as needed to the
locations marked as MW-24P, MW-25P, MW-26P, and MW-27P. We do not
anticipate that any or all of,';these contingency wells will be needed.
However, we would like to propose them in advance, in order to have the
required regulatory approvalsilin advances that we can move quickly if any
more -wells are needed. We will consult with Kayo before drilling any well
beyond the four proposed in piragraph two.
We believe that we can meet the extended deadline of March 14th,
assuming no unexpected regulatory delays occur.
A
Sincerely,
David E.
