(Delta), has been authorized to conduct a hydmgeologic <br /> investigation for Ultramar Inc. (Llaramar),at the above-referenced site(Figure 1). The investigation <br /> is intended to evaluate the extent of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents in the soil and ground water <br /> beneath the site. This letter report summarizes and presents the results of field activities conducted at <br /> the site by Delta in February 1991. <br /> The scope of work completed by Delta included the following tasks: <br /> k <br /> � Three sol!borings were drilled and soil samples were collected. <br /> e Soil samples were screened in the field for the presence of organic vapors and selected <br /> samples were submitted for laboratory analysis. <br /> s A ground water monitoring well was installed in each boring. <br /> o The monitoring wells were developed and ground water samples were collected for <br /> laboratory analysis. <br /> e The reference elevation at the top of each new monitoring well casing was surveyed <br /> relative to mean sea level- <br /> o 'Three existing vadose wells were overdrilled and then grouted for abandonment. <br />
