Soil samples collected
from borings for the installation of MW-22, MW-29, MW-30 and MW-31 all
contained non-detectable concentrations of BTX and Other Volatile
Hydrocarbons. Vapor extraction was later connected to MW-16, MW-17, MW-18 and
MW-30. The vapor extraction results in December 1990 indicate that MW-17,
MW-18 and MW-30 were less than 50 parts-per-million vapor {ppmv} and MW-16
exhibited 150 ppmv. In January 1991 MW-16 was retested and exhibited no
detectable hydrocarbon vapor.
As you are probably aware ppmv is measured as a vapor and the results in ppmv
are always much higher than an actual laboratory measurement of hydrocarbon in
soil , measured on a weight to weight basis in parts per million. Soil data for
MW-33 could not be found in the file, however all ground-water samples from the
well were non-detect
4
BEACON
f
rik (?u:fitc end tirricc
A Member of the Ultramar Group of Companies
utKaffw
