Dembroff
Manager, Marketing Environmental
SUBJECT: Monthly Status Report - December 1990
Beacon Station 696
800 East Highway 12
Lodi, California
Dear Mr. Dembroff:
. This is a monthly status report for the soil remediation system at the above-referenced site, for the
I month of December 1990.
A Du Pont Environmental Remediation Services (DERS) technician visited the site on a weekly basis.
Typical activities that were performed during the visit included equipment inspection, instrument
calibration, and influent and effluent concentration measurements. A hand-held organic vapor analyzer
(OVA) was used by our technician to measure influent hydrocarbon concentrations.
Based on operating parameters listed on Table A, approximately 390 pounds (63 gallons) of gasoline
have been extracted during the reporting period. The remediation system has been operating on the
on-site vacuum wells since December 1989, and off-site vacuum wells since May 16, 1990. Since then,
approximately 10,390 pounds (1,690 gallons) of gasoline have been extracted and properly treated.
Attached are two figures which show gasoline extracted per month (Figure 1) and cumulative gasoline
extracted (Figure 2). Vacuum wells that were in service this month are listed in Table B.
This monthly report is not required by the regulatory agencies, and therefore need not be forwarded.
However, should Ultramar desire to forward this to show remediation progress, the agencies that would
be most interested would be:
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
ATTENTION: Mr. Darrell Singleton, Air Pollution Engineer
Better Things For Better Living
