H. Kleinfelder and Assoclates is pleased to provide a <br /> proposal to drill, and sample An exploratory boring. beneath a <br /> removed gasoline storage tank. The proposal includes the cost to <br /> install one monitoring well in the exploratory boring should field <br /> results show well- installation' to be 'advisable. The scope of <br /> services is outlined below. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> J. H. Kleinfelder and Associates will drill one soil boring <br /> to first water . (estimated 50 feet) at the site of the removed <br /> under ground storage tank. Soil samples will be taken at five <br /> foot intervals and screened in the field with a photo-ionization <br /> detector (PID) for organic vapors.0Samp.les_wil1 then be sealed <br /> and stored in a refrigerated container. Based on results of PID <br /> screening and on directions from, County representatives, selected <br /> soil samples will be transported under chain-of-custody to a State <br /> approved laboratory to be analyzed for benzene, toluene, xylene <br /> and total hydrocarbons (GC/FID) : Should field screening of the <br /> deeper soil samples not show organic vapors to be present, the <br /> boring would be sealed to the surface with a cement/bentonite <br /> I <br /> . i <br />
