E <br />• <br />1. If there is time, securely fasten lids and bungs of all hazardous <br />substance containers at the facility. <br />2. If there is time, try to securely fasten all equipment and hazardous <br />substance containers firmly in place or move them into buildings to keep <br />them from floating away in the rising water. <br />3. EVACUATE all personnel to higher ground. Follow the instructions of local <br />emergency departments for best evacuation routes. <br />1. Notify the Facility Emergency Coordinator or alternate. <br />2. Make arrangements to transport hazardous wastes to a licensed treatment, <br />storage, and disposal (TSD) facility by a registered hauler. <br />Contact: Regional or Departmental Environmental Coordinator <br />3. Transport all hazardous materials to the nearest PG&E facility <br />unaffected by the approaching flood/high ti <br />4. If unable to transport hazardous wastes to a licensed TO facility, <br />arrange to transfer your hazardous waste in addition to hazardous <br />materials to the nearest PG&E facility unaffected by.the approaching <br />flood/high tide. <br />5. Carefully record the following information: <br />a. Transporter's name <br />b. Volume of hazardous waste/materials <br />c. Name of facility receiving hazardous waste/materials <br />d. Type and description of hazardous waste/materials <br />6. As a last resort, securely fasten all equipment, hazardous waste <br />containers, and hazardous material containers in place and tighten all <br />lids and bungs. Try to transfer containers and other items into facility <br />buildings. <br />7. If necessary, evacuate all personnel. Follow the instructions of local <br />emergency departments for evacuation routes. <br />5-37 <br />
