INTRODUCTION <br /> The following report summarizes the soil and ground water <br /> investigation performed at the Hendrix & Son Trucking facility <br /> ' located at 3730 Munford Avenuein Stockton, California. Hendrix <br /> & Son Trucking contracted J .A. Kleinfelder & Associates to <br /> conduct a site investigation to assess the presence of petroleum <br /> ' hydrocarbons and related constituents in the soil and ground <br /> water adjacent to a tank excavation area. This report describes <br /> the work elements associated with the exploratory soil 'boring and <br /> ground water monitoring well installation, and summarizes and <br /> ' presents the analytical results obtained to date. <br /> ' II . BACKGROUND <br /> The Hendrix & Son Trucking facility is located at 3730 <br /> ' Munford Avenue in the City of Stockton, as shown on Plate No , 1 . <br /> A single underground gasoline fuel storage tank was located along <br /> the western edge of the property. It is J.H. Kieinfeider & <br /> Associates ' understanding that use of the tank was discontinued <br /> ' and the tank has been removed. <br /> III . PURPOSE <br /> Hendrix & Son Trucking contracted J .H. Kieinfeider & <br /> ' Associates to initiate a soil and ground water investigation. <br /> The scope of work included: <br /> o Placing a single soil boring adjacent to the tank <br /> ' excavation., qualitatively screening the soil samples <br /> using a Photovac photoionization detector ( PTD) , and <br /> performing quantitative chemical analyses on selected <br /> samples . <br /> o Installing a ground water monitoring well in the <br /> exploratory boring. <br /> 1 <br />
