PADDOCK PLACE - LODI, CA 95242-9500
SOIL SAMPLING PLAN
We will be collecting verification soil samples following the tank removal, and monitoring the
excavation with an organic vapor meter (OVM) As typically required by the local regulatory
agency, one verification soil sample will be collected beneath each end of the tanks and from
beneath each fuel dispenser. The number of samples and type of samples taken will be in
accords with the San Joaquin County - Public Health Department.
If groundwater is encountered during the excavation, one verification soil sample will be
collected from the soil/groundwater interface at each end of the tanks and from beneath each
dispenser. In addition to the verification sampling, a composite soil sample would be collected
from the stockpiled soil to evaluate its suitable for use as backfill material.
Samples will be analyzed as per San Joaquin County Guidelines and in accordance with the
California Leaking Underground Fuel Tank Manual (LUFT) and the Tri Regional Board Staff
Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tank Sites.
All samples will be properly labeled and placed in an ice cooler and transported under proper
chain of custody to a California Department of Health Services certified laboratory.
License No. 510034
