I am working with Local Stockton FD (Phil Simon)tel(209)598-8819-
confirmed No AST removal permits from City or County. However, they want fees$322/hour via a Special Inspection
form
I have that in motion once we get the contractor on board..
Looping in Cesar who has also sent some guidance directly to the Client XPO. He has directed us below to get a
permit/notification for a"closing inspection'. Is this closing inspection the same/duplicate as the Stockton FD?
However, this is inconsistent with the direction given by your Department who has said that no permit need to be pulled
from the County.
<<Here are the requirements for an Aboveground tank to be considered permanently closed. I have also included the
Aboveground Petroleum Storage Act(APSA) FAQ link.
Requirements for"closing" a tank. Once the steps below are completed and the facility total storage capacity of
petroleum product in containers of 55 gallons or more falls to less than 1,320 gallons, then the facility is not regulated
1
