A 55 gallon black steel drum of used oil filters was observed with an accumulation start date of <br /> December 1, 2010. Facilities that generate up to one ton of used oil filters per year may store the filters <br /> up to one year. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of <br /> lading to the EHD by December 26, 2012. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 701. A 55 gallon blue steel drum of used antifreeze was observed with an accumulation start date of <br /> November 29, 2010. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do <br /> not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. <br /> Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and <br /> submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by December 26, 2012. <br /> Notice to Comply - Minor violations: (812) <br /> 812. Copies of universal waste disposal records were not found on site. A generator of universal waste <br /> (batteries, mercury containing equipment, lamps/bulbs, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass, aerosol <br /> cans) shall keep a record of each shipment of universal waste on site for at least three years. The <br /> record may take the form of a log, invoice, manifest, bill of lading, or other shipping document, and shall <br /> include the following: <br /> - Name & address of destination facility <br /> - Quantity & type of universal waste <br /> - Date of departure/shipment <br /> Begin this practice immediately. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification to the EHD by December 26, <br /> 2012 along with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each <br /> violation and any supporting paperwork. <br /> *Discussed proper metal fine handling, storage, and disposal. <br /> Provided: Small Business Household Hazardous Waste Facility brochure, CERS HMMP flyer, CERS <br /> Lead User Authorization form, Return to Compliance Certification form <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector.
