Complaint Investigation Re, c <br />Tri -Valley Recycling <br />first battery was placed in the box. None of the boxes with batteries had accumulation <br />start dates. California Code of Regulations. title 22. section 66266.81 (a)7 requires <br />that the facility store batteries with the date they were received marked in ink or paint, <br />or other weather resistant material such that the date is legible and conspicuous. <br />Failure to mark the boxes with batteries with the accumulation start dates was listed as <br />a Class II violation on the Summary of Violations (SOV) given to the facility. <br />Photo 1: Box with lead acid and alkaline batteries with no accumulation start date <br />3 of 20 <br />
