I would like to recapitulate the <br /> highlights of our telephone conversation, in order to draw conclusions <br /> concerning the need for secondary containment at Sumiden Wire Products <br /> Geotechnical Engineering Corportion in Stockton, California. <br /> Engineering Geok,gy <br /> • The structure may be categorized as a sump, due to the <br /> EnvironmentalCnntuicine removable top, and therefore may not require secondary <br /> containment as stated under Chapter 6.7 of the Health and <br /> Remediation Services <br /> Safety Code, Section 25281, subsection (x)(1). <br /> Construction Inspection <br /> • Additionally, the substance within the tank may not be a <br /> Materiale Ttscing <br /> hazardous substance due its dilute nature. The substance is a <br /> mixture of sulfuric acid and water and has a pH of <br /> approximately 5.0.
