SAN ) O A Q U I N Environmental Health Department
Complaint Record Daily Time and Activity Summary from4/5/2018 to
4/5/2019 for C00049543 located at
3919 E. FRENCH CAMP RD
Activity Date Recorded by
03/28/2019 Received a call from the Sheriff's office and spoke with Detective Hill PE 2200 ALANIZ
42 min (209-468-3147) 1:08 p.m. I explained the complaint that we received. Hill said SC 007
that he would go and investigate the area. Received a call from him at 2:20 p.m.
Detective Hill went to the site and met with Samuel's wife, Danielle Hicks,
530-310-3294. Samuel is a lineman and his work gives him excess copper wire to
bring home and melt into bars. Samuel then sells the bars. Detective Hill sent me
several pictures of the propane equipment he uses to melt the copper. He did not
find anything concerning.
Called Danielle Hicks and discussed the complaint. She said that there is no
copper waste or hazardous fumes generated from the melting process. I told her
that there might be potential concerns from the San Joaquin Air Valley Pollution
Control District and the county code enforcement. She said that her husband
decided to stop this activity and asked that I email her the complaint number at
dhickslinewife@gmail.com.
Discussed with Garrett Backus and it was decided that I could go and abate the
complaint.
03/29/2019 Emailed complaint information to Danielle Hicks at Line life PE 2200 ALANIZ
18 min <dhickslinewife@gmail.com>. Called (complainant) at SC 007
Updated her on the complaint status. Received the following reply
back from Danielle: Thank you for all your help. He's going to not melt anymore.
We don't want to stir up or cause any more problems than already have been
started. If there's any waste I will be sure to have him take it to the Hazardous
Waste Center.
04/05/2019 Created a photo log from photos taken by Detective Hill. Abated complaint and PE 2200 ALANIZ
36 min gave to GB. SC 007
