This was corrected on site. <br /> Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire,explosion, or release of hazardous <br /> waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean up the <br /> oil on the ground and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and <br /> supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66265.33 Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination equipment. <br /> The secondary containment pallets for the hazardous waste drums and the new motor oil tank had oily liquid/sludge <br /> inside. All facility communications or alarm systems, fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and <br /> decontamination equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper <br /> operation in time of emergency. Immediately begin this practice. Submit evidence to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 507 CCR 66265.195 Failed to conduct daily inspections of hazardous waste tank system and maintain records onsite. <br /> Inspections of the hazardous waste tank system was not documented. Daily hazardous waste tank inspection logs <br /> were not available for review during the inspection for January 2019&April 2016 through June 2017. The following <br /> items are required to be inspected at least daily: <br /> 1.overfill/spill control equipment; <br /> 2. aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br /> 3. data gathered from monitoring and leak-detection equipment; <br /> 4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br /> hazardous waste; <br /> 5. for uncovered tanks,the level of waste in the tank. <br /> Immediately begin required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system, and document the items inspected. <br /> Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> FA0009112 PR0513647 SCO01 04/19/2019 <br /> EHD 22-02 Rev.09/27/2018 Page 7 of 9 Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br /> 1868 E.
