STOCKTON Aril 11 2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> -An STOU HW tote with an accumulation start date of 4/10/19,was marked"solid"for the physical state, and <br /> contained the following(IMG 5353): <br /> -A partially filled bottle of Palmolive dish soap(IMG 5366). <br /> -A partially filled bottle of April Bath&Shower Lavender&Chamomile Bubble Bath(IMG 5368-9). <br /> -An open black bucket,found on the top shelf of the HW storage area, contained a bag of used paper towels labeled <br /> as hazardous waste, and absorbent that appeared to be unused at the bottom of the bucket(IMG 5382-4). Sandra did <br /> not know who placed the bag of paper towels in the bucket, nor did she know what the paper towels had been used to <br /> clean. According to page 17 of the Dollar Tree California Training Guide on Hazardous Waste Handling and Processing <br /> Procedures,found near the HW storage area at the time of inspection,when cleaning up a spill,the outside of the bag <br /> used for used paper towels and other cleanup materials should be marked"with the name of the spilled product and <br /> the contents(e.g. Laundry Detergent Cleanup Materials)"(IMG 5352). <br /> -A Home Store Lavender scented oil was found in a HW bag on the top shelf of the HW storage area(IMG 5385-7, <br /> 5450) . Sandra did not know who placed the item in the bag and on the shelf, nor how long the item had been there. <br /> Sandra scanned the item and the hand-held scanner prompted her to place the item in the AF HW tote. Sandra <br /> placed the item into the AF HW tote. <br /> -An unlabeled tote was observed in the front of the store adjacent the cash registers and on a bottom shelf beneath <br /> the store's"go-back"items(IMG 5451-2). The unlabeled contained the following items in bags labeled as hazardous <br /> waste(IMG 5453-8): <br /> -White powder and a lid with holes(appeared to be from a container of Ajax or Comet with bleach) <br /> -Two Chap Ice Lip Balms <br /> -A Garden Solar Stake Light <br /> -A Saint Patrick's Necklace Coller containing a light <br /> -Three electric LED tealight candles <br /> -Luminessence Scented Wax Melts <br /> -A Luminessence Metallic LED Votive Candle <br /> -A pack of Fashion(ballpoint)Pens Stylos Mode <br /> -A pack of mechanical lead pencils <br /> -Two broken Sunbeam clear light bulbs <br /> -A wax prayer candle <br /> -A container of Ajax with bleach was found bagged, labeled as hazardous waste, and on the counter at register#1 at <br /> the front of the store(IMG 5459-61).
