You can use <br /> the capacitance probes in most petroleum products. You can use the magnetostrictive probes in most <br /> petroleum products as well as in many non-petroleum products(including alcohol and alcohol blends). <br /> Magnetostrictive probes are recommended for diesel applications. <br /> A nationally recognized independent testing agency certifies both of the 0.1 probes as being able to <br /> detect a 0.1 gallons/hour leak with a 99%probability of detection. The 0.2 gallons/hour probes detect a <br /> 0.2 gallons/hour leak with a 95%probability of detection. Capacitance probes and magnetostrictive <br /> probes are available in lengths to fit almost any tank. <br /> Interstitial Space And Sump Sensors. <br /> These sealed magnetic float switch liquid sensors virtually eliminate troublesome false alarms,are easy <br /> to install,and are not damaged by exposure to fuels. They're also less expensive than other types of <br /> liquid sensors and don't require periodic maintenance. A magnetic float mechanism triggers an alert if <br /> liquid enters the containment area. <br /> There are two types of interstitial sensors: one to fit traditional steel tanks and one to fit traditional <br /> fiberglass tanks.
