ASSEMBLY AREA Proceed to the Assembly Area which is just east of the Stribley Park Baseball field. MONITOR MOVEMENT Alternate Area Wardens/FTC will: 1. Grab the Black Bag Emergency Preparedness bag from their area 2. As exiting the building, ensure those who need help are being aided in the evacuation process 3. Monitor movement of personnel to the Assembly Areas. Pay particular attention to intersection at Della and Hazelton. 4. Take initiative to correct any safety concerns that arise en route to Assembly Areas. METHOD FOR ACCOUNTABILITY OF EMPLOYEES Alternate Area Wardens/FTC will: 1. Station themselves at the Assembly Area with their department. 2. Use the department employee roster in the Black Back to ensure all employees are accounted for. 3. Inform Area Wardens of unaccounted employees. PREVENT ENTRY Security Officer and Alternate Area Wardens will: 1. Prevent entry to building(i.e. notify anyone attempting to enter that the building is being evacuated due to emergency); keep doors clear for security lines. ENSURE AREA IS CLEAR FTC will: 1. Establish External Command Center with First Responders. 2. Direct the Area Wardens to station themselves at the facility entrances and prevent entry by unauthorized persons. 3. From the External Command Post, coordinate activities with Police, Fire Department and the CAO's office. Area Wardens will: 1. Check area to ensure evacuation has taken place. Physically check area as well as verbally announce that the building is being evacuated (i.e. "The building is being evacuated. Is there anyone in here?"). 2. Note the number and location of people needing assistance, and type of assistance needed. 3. Notify the FTC if additional assistance is needed with mobility of people evacuating. 4. Evacuate themselves using appropriate exit routes.
