The boring <br /> will be advanced to a maxiTrAm depth of 20 feet bgs using a CTeoprobe direct-push drill rig_ Soil <br /> will be sampled commencin,;at 12 feet bgs,and then at 4-f+oot intervals thereafter,using a <br /> Ceoprobe soil sampling demice. Samples will be field screened using an organic vapor meter. <br /> The soil sample Coutainors vdll be sealed with Teflon sheeting and plastic endcaps,labeled, and <br /> stored in an ice chest containing blue ice. Soil samples to be retained for laboratory analysis will <br /> be determined in the field. <br /> One groundwater sample will be collected from the boring by exposing a screen in the lead <br /> Geoprobe rod, and retrieving;water from the boring with a TubahQ hand pump. The water <br /> sample will be placed into appropriate sample containers, labeled,and stored in an ice chest <br /> containing blue ice. <br /> Laboratory Analysis <br /> One groundwater sample and the soil samples retained for analysis will be submitted under <br /> chain-of-custody protocol to BSK's State-certified analytical laboratory for analysis. Based on <br /> the findings of laboratory analyses associated with the UST removal, analytical testing of the soil <br /> and groundwater samples will be Iimited to fuel oxygenates,including MTBE,by EPA Method <br /> 8260, <br /> Reporting <br /> Upon completion of field work and laboratory analyses,BSK will provide a report containing a <br /> site plan with locations of this soil boring, a boring log describing soil types and sample <br /> locations.laboratory test reSults with chain-of-custody documentation, and conclusions and <br /> recommendations regarding contamination beneath the site. The report will be developed as <br /> outlined in Appendix A of the Tri-regional Board 5ta,ff Recommendataons}or Preliminary <br /> Investigation and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites. The report will be signed by a <br /> California Registered Geologist or Engineer_ <br /> HEALTH AND SAFETY <br /> Field work will be conducted in accordance with Level D Personnel Protection.
