SECOR
r N 40007-097
O1 International Incorporated
Nov - ss —
November 1, 1996 1:N1/RONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMIT/SERVICES
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Prada
1045 Marsh Creek Lane
Manteca, California 95336 RECIAVED
INSTALLATION OF TEMPORARY NOV - s 1996GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELLS
Proposed ARCO AM/PM Facility
Southeast Corner of S. Main Street Q
and Industrial Park Drive
Manteca, California
Assessors Parcel No. 221-019-08
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Prada:
According to Mr. Don Firenze with ARCO Real Estate, it is SECOR International
Incorporated's (SECOR's) understanding that you are the owner of above referenced
property. On behalf of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), this letter is being forwarded
to request permission to drill four exploratory soil borings and install three temporary
groundwater monitoring wells on the subject property. The locations of the proposed soil
borings/wells are shown on the attached Site Map (Figure 3).
The work is required by ARCO to carry out a geotechnical/environmental investigation, in
conjunction with the proposed AM/PM facility to be constructed in the near future on your
property.
The proposed wells will be completed to the design specifications as shown on Figure 4,
attached. These wells will be 2-inches in diameter and have a flush-mounted steel locked cap
over the wellhead that precludes entry. Onsite safety during drilling operations will be
accomplished by SECOR and SECOR's drilling subcontractor.
It is anticipated, at this time, that the wells will need to be in place for a period of two to
4ew-months. During that time frame,.the well monuments will be maintained by SECOR
personnel or another representative as designated by ARCO. At such time the wells are no
longer required, they will be abandoned per County requirements and the areas restored to
original condition.
T.
>>h'G4-I liustrrc.s Ctrtler Drlr c.
