i
I
5.0 LABORATORY ANALYTICAL TESTING
All soil and groundwater samples obtained during the field exploration were delivered under
chain-of-custody documentation to Del Mar Analytical Laboratory, located in Colton,
California. The laboratory is certified by the State of California Department of Health
Services Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Programto perform the testing reported
herein. Collected soil samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH), and
volatile organic hydrocarbons benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene(BTEX)using EPA
` Test Methods 8015 (modified for gasoline), and 8020 respectively. A composite soil sample,
one from each soil boring, was mixed in the laboratory and analyzed. All retained soil
samples from each boring were used for the composite soil sample. All groundwater samples
were evaluated for the presence of TPH and BTEX and selected samples (MW-2 and
MW-3)were evaluated for volatile organic compounds/chlorinated solvents by EPA Method
8260. Additionally, all soil and groundwater samples were analyzed for methyl tertiary butyl
ether (MTBE) by EPA method 8020. 3
'4
j
k
t
,i
!4
s
ti
f
EF
t
fE
ik
f
i1
i
E li
i
!Ep
fi
01
4 I
L I
JN 40007-097-01
Cdec-96\iremteca.e" 5-1 i
F
I.
