The analysis of the groundwater samples collected indicated no
detectable concentrations of Toluene.
Stoddard Solvent contamination was detected from less than 1 ppm to
41 ppm in the three wells.
Benzene was detected in MW-1 and MW-3 at concentrations of 3 . 4 and
29 ppb respectively.
Ethylbenzene was detected in MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3 at concentrations
of 4. 3, 4 . 3 and 120 ppb respectively.
Toluene was detected in MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3 at concentrations of
3 .9 , 6. 2 and 610 ppb respectively.
JPCA recommends that the soil in the area of MW-3 be excavated,
both laterally and horizontally until the concentrations of TPH'
Stoddard Solvent on the edges of the excavation are below 100 ppm.
The excavated soil should be treated on site or disposed of off
site. The excavation will require the abandonment and removal of
MW-3 .
After soil removal a new well, designated for extraction, should be
advanced in the area of the present MW-3 . Groundwater from the
wells should be resampled. Based on the new analysis of the
groundwater, a remedial system should be engineered to remove
groundwater contamination if required.
This report has been specifically prepared for the property located
at 348 west Harding Way, Stockton, California for Peter Wallace
with specific application to a soil and groundwater
characterization of a former UST site for an environmental
investigation. The report has been prepared with the care and
skill generally exercised by reputable professionals, under similar
circumstances, in this or similar localities. No other warranty
either implied or expressed is made as to the professional advice
presented herein.
It has been a pleasure to work with you on this project. Should you
have any questions or require additional information, please
contact the undersigned.
Sincerely,
YnP. mings JohN ALT `sem
9
N°. 1136
CERTIFIED
ENGINEER NG
T GEOLOGIST `Q
OF CAi.1F0a
