(AGE) has prepared this
work plan for the destruction of three ground water monitoring wells at 244 West Harding
Way, Stockton, California (site). The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. Locations
of structures, borings and monitoring wells related to the site are illustrated in Figure 2. Site
background information was summarized in the AGE-prepared, Closure Summary Report,
dated 13 December 2010.
INTRODUCTION
In a letter dated 10 August 2011 (Appendix A), the San Joaquin County Department of
Environmental Health (SJCEHD) directed preparation of a work plan to destroy ground
water monitoring wells at 244 West Harding Way, Stockton, California in accordance with
the SJCEHD Standards For Well Construction and Destruction.
SCOPE OF WORK
A total of three ground water monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-3) have been installed
on-site as part of the ongoing subsurface investigation. Boring logs documenting
observations and well construction details of the wells have been included in Appendix B.
Based on results from historical investigations(soil and ground water sampling)well MW-1
is the only well installed at the site with reported petroleum hydrocarbon impact at the site.
Therefore, AGE proposes to overdrill well MW-1 over its entire installed depth (45 feet
below surface grade) and to pressure grout wells MW-2 and MW-3. Analytical results of
ground water samples is summarized in Table 1.
