Mr. John Jackson lVaORdlo <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 11 June 2004 <br /> Page 3 <br /> As required by the SJCEHD permit,the samples were analyzed for Unknown Fuel analytical <br /> suite which included: <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPHg) (carbon range C7— C12), TPH as diesel <br /> (TPHd) (carbon range CIU—C24),using U.S. Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) <br /> Testing Method 8015 modified, <br /> • Benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes(BTEX)using EPA Testing Method <br /> 8021B., <br /> • Methyl tert-butyl ether(MTBE)plus oxygenates,(tert-butyl alcohol,di-isopropyl ether, <br /> ethyl-tert-butyl ether, and tert-amylmethyl ether, and ethanol) and lead scavengers(1,2- <br /> dichloroethane [1,2-DCA] and 1,2-dibromoethane [1,2-EDB]) using EPA Testing <br /> Method 8260B, and <br /> • Total lead using EPA Testing Method 6010. <br /> As required,the analytical results for the samples have been reported to the SJCEHD directly <br /> from the laboratory via e-mail. No TPHg,benzene, MTBE or oxygenates were detected in any <br /> soil sample. TPHd was detected in all samples at concentrations which ranged between 1.1 <br /> milligrams per kilograms (mg/kg) and 21 mg/kg. Toluene, ethylbenzene,and total xylenes <br /> concentrations were detected in the two soil samples ranging from below the reporting limits to <br /> 49 micrograms per kilograms(ug/kg). Lead was detected in all samples at concentrations which <br /> ranged between 6 mg/kg and 48 mg/kg. Table 1 summarizes the analytical results.
