Monitoring Well
CMW-3 will be located across West Fremont Street approximately 80 feet northeast of
4 Monitoring Well CMW-1, down gradient from the former USTs.
The wells will be installed and developed in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures
p p g
(SOPs) for Monitoring Well Installation and Development in Appendix A. All drilling and well
installation will be performed with the appropriate permitting and oversight of the SJCEHD.
- Groundwater sampling will be conducted in accordance with SJCEHD guidelines and the SOP
for groundwater sampling in Appendix A, and sent to a state-certified laboratory for analysis
using chain-of-custody protocols. Groundwater samples will be analyzed for:
• TPH-g and TPH-d by EPA method 8015M, and
• Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX) and MTBE by EPA Method 8021.
5.2 Well Installation and Monitoring Schedule
The planned site development includes installing new utility lines and replacing sidewalks
adjacent to the site where monitoring wells are planned. The development is scheduled to begin
L` in the second quarter of 2005, and is scheduled to be completed in six to twelve months. The
{ installation and sampling of the monitoring wells can begin as soon as this work is completed.
I'
7
25970122.DGD 14 February 2005
