i <br /> r ,ri <br /> impacts, and to help evaluate the need for additional monitoring and remedial measures. <br /> Monitoring Well CMW-1 will be located in the excavation area near former UST#2 and Boring <br /> CSB-2,which had the highest concentrations of TPH g in groundwater detected at the Site. <br /> Monitoring Well CMW-2 will be located approximately 50 feet east of Monitoring Well CMW= <br /> 2, adjacent to boring CSB-2; which had a relatively high TPH-g concentration. Monitoring Well <br /> CMW-3 will be located across West Fremont Street approximately 80 feet northeast of <br /> Monitoring Well CMW-1, down gradient from the former USTs. <br /> The wells will be installed and developed in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures <br /> (SOPs)for Monitoring Well Installation and Development in Appendix A. All drilling and well <br /> installation will be performed with the appropriate permitting and oversight of the SJCEHD. <br /> Groundwater sampling will be conducted in accordance with SJCEHD guidelines and the SOP <br /> for groundwater sampling in Appendix A, and sent to a state-certified laboratory for analysis <br /> using chain-of-custody protocols. Groundwater samples will be analyzed.for: <br /> • TPH-g and TPH d by EPA method 8015M, and <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX) and MTBE by EPA Method 8021.. <br /> 5.2 Well Installation and Monitoring Schedule <br /> The planned site development includes installing new utility lines and replacing sidewalks <br /> adjacent to the site where monitoring wells are planned. The development is scheduled to begin <br /> in the second quarter of 2005, and is scheduled to be completed in six to twelve months.
