TreadvvelUMlo <br /> After reviewing analytical results, the pump islands were excavated and confirmation samples <br /> were collected beneath TP-A, on the north, south and west walls of the excavation(Figure 2) <br /> With the exception of confirmation samples CPT-EXC-BT19 and CPT-EXC-N15, TPH-g, <br /> TPH-d, total petroleum hydrocarbons as motor oil (TPH-mo), MTBE and BTEX compounds <br /> were not detected above laboratory reporting limits (Table 3) In CPT-EXC-BT19 and CPT- <br /> ' EXC15, TPH-g was detected at 2,300 and <5 1 mg/kg, respectively TPH-d was detected at 700 <br /> and 27 mg/kg, respectively Ethylbenzene concentrations ranged between 0 24 mg/kg in CPT- <br /> , EXC-N15 to 23 mg/kg in CPT-EXC-BT19 Xylene concentrations ranged between 0 61 mg/kg <br /> m CPT-EXC-N15 to 76 mg/kg m CPT-EXC-BT19 Toluene was only detected in confirmation <br /> sample CPT-EXC-N15 at 0 023 mg/kg <br /> 5.5 Soil Stockpile Sampling and Disposal <br /> Soil from the excavation was placed in stockpiles and covered with visqueen On 10 and 16 June <br /> and 1 July 2004, one 4-point composite soil sample for approximately every 100 cubic yards of <br /> soil was collected from each of the soil stockpiles for a total of 20 samples Each laboratory- <br /> composited sample was analyzed for TPH-g, TPH-d, TPH-mo, BTEX, MTBE, and lead Table 4 <br /> shows the analytical results for the composited stockpile samples Appendix B presents the <br /> laboratory analytical results <br /> rOn the basis of the laboratory analytical results, approximately 360 cy of stockpiled soil were <br /> disposed of as non-hazardous Class H material at Forward Landfill in Stockton, California <br /> Approximately 100 cy of soil with elevated lead concentrations represented by sample CPT-EX- <br /> 5-COMP, is still on-site awaiting offsite disposal Appendix D includes copies of the landfill <br /> ' non-hazardous waste manifests and weight tags <br /> ' 5.6 Soil Import and Backfill <br /> The shored excavation was backfilled on 16 and 17 June 2004 The pump island excavation was <br /> backfilled the week of 12 July 2004 Backfill material was used from other areas at the Banner <br /> ,� 25971020 DGD 9 23 August 2004 <br />
