activities. The excavation was terminated once groundwater was encountered as confirmation
sample BOT-13 met RAOs..
5.2.1 Area 10 RAP Excavations
As shown on Figure 3, Area 10 contained 23 RAP excavations at the locations. Table 1
identifies the COCs associated with each RAP excavation. Ten RAP excavations in this area had
confirmation samples that met the RAOs after the excavation proposed in the RDIP was
completed. Thirteen RAP excavations in this area had sidewall and/or floor samples that did not
meet the RAOs after the initial excavation, and additional excavation and confirmation sampling
was conducted until the RAOs were met. Figures 7, 8 and 9 show the RAP excavation
dimensions and confirmation sampling locations for Area 10. Confirmation sampling locations
shown in gray on the figures indicate that these locations were removed during subsequent
excavation. Table 3 presents the confirmation sample analytical results for Area 10. The
estimated soil volume for RAP excavations in Area 10 presented in the RDIP was 144 cy yards,
and the volume estimated based on.excavation dimensions after completion was 311 cy
j (Table 10).
f
5.2.2 Area 11 RAP Excavations
Area 11 contained four RAP excavations at the locations shown on Figure 4. Table 1 identifies
the COCs associated with each RAP excavation. Only one RAP excavation in this area (11137)
- had a confirmation sample that did not meet the RAOs after the excavation proposed in the RDIP
i was completed. Figure 10 shows the RAP excavation dimensions and confirmation sampling
locations for Area 11. Confirmation sampling locations shown in gray on the 11137 figure
indicate that these locations were removed during subsequent excavation. Table 4 presents the
confirmation sample analytical results for Area 11. The estimated minimum soil volume for
RAP excavations in Area 11 presented in the RDIP was 24 cy, and the volume estimated based
on excavation dimensions after completion was 31 cy(Table 10)
f
i
25971025.DGD 13 11 August 2005
