Iwo
09 October 2001
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0144
4.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the 24 May 2001 ground water aquifer pumping test results,AGE recommends extracting
petroleum-impacted ground water from EW-1 at approximately 6 gpm;based on the site's estimated
radius of influence of at least 65 feet and site specific aquifer characteristics inferred from the
pumping test,AGE believes that ground water extraction from well EW-1 at 6 gpm will effectively
address the contaminated ground water plume in the shallower interval hydrologic unit and should
inhibit fixrther migration of petroleum impacted ground water off-site.
Extracted groundwater from EW-1 could be pumped directly through an on-site ground waterpump-
and-treat system. The ground water pump-and-treat system would utilize granular activated carbon
(GAC)to address TPH-g,TPH-d and BTEX in extracted ground water. Following treatment, water
could then be discharged into the City of Stockton sewer system under a City of Stockton Public
Works permit.
5.0. LIlMIITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluation of the geologic/hydro-
geologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number
of available data points(Solinst water level meter;groundwater samples),and subsurface conditions
may vary away from these data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the
professional recommendations contained in this report.
Advanced GcaEnviromuenta4 Inc.
